Happy Haunting

Good morning blogging friends.  It is Saturday morning and such a lovely day.  The temperatures are perfect this morning. (64 degrees) I really love this time of year.  I really think it is my favorite season.  I love Spring too. So, I guess it is a toss up between the two.

For the challenge, over at
CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGE BLOG,
we are to use the theme "Harvest/Seasonal"
I picked this image because it raps up the theme....We have the bounty's of the land this time of year that represents the pumpkin in the picture and all the other wonderful fruits and vegetable we get this time of year.  I love Thanksgiving and what it means to all of us.  Then, we have the fun time that Halloween brings to the children and their families.
I hope each of you enjoy the season.

I have used Stampin Up and DCWV papers. Stampin Up circle and circle scallop punches.  I have also used Copic markers.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 173 and Deidre Mosher Designs

It is amazing to me how fast Wednesday's roll around.  The weeks and month seem to fly by.  Sometimes I really wish things would slow down a bit.  Christmas will be here and then gone again before we know it.  I decided the other day that I just need to be happy and enjoy the day that I am experiencing at that moment and not wish for the weekend to come.  I am happy to say that it has made a difference in how I look at things and how I feel.
I know only too well how short life can be and I think we really need to enjoy it to the fullest, especially, with our family.
I have probably gone on too long chattering so I will get down to business.
We have a wonderful sponsor this week over at
SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY.

DEIDRE MOSHER DESIGNS

We are using a special theme: "Celebrating Women"

Formally, Shirley's 2 Girls

Here is Deidre Mosher's Bio

Wildly Whimsical and Seriously Sassy Art is definitely a trademark of Deidre Mosher.

I have been in the business of art for over 25+ years. Starting out as a fashion illustrator, moving into Art Direction, where I did everything from print to TV...and eventually I found my way back to illustration. My art is just plain fun and my love of color is clearly evident in the designs I create. I'm currently licensed with a variety of companies...my designs are used on craft products, greeting cards/paper products, kitchenware, business products and such.
I am first and foremost an...Illustrator and Designer. I am inspired by seriously sassy & bold colors, but also love the 'wow factor' of classic black and white designs. I'm crazy for stripes and dots, and they are a repeated theme in my work.
As an Illustrator, I work in many mediums and styles, ranging from the line art to pastels...having fun adapting them to the latest project. I am inspired by some my favorite artists ...Matisse's use of bold color, Klimt's knowledge of figures and lavish attention to detail, and Gauguin's wild approach to his subjects. They are all so 'awe inspiring'! I'm happiest when I am in my studio and starting a new project...making a mess, experimenting...and even throwing paint.
Any day in the studio is a great day!

I usually get an idea when I least expect it...so when the 'light bulb' goes off...I sketch and sketch and sketch...(hence the reason I buy tracing paper in bulk). I always begin with a pencil and paper, and it evolves from there. My favorite part of the process?? EVERYTHING...from beginning to end.

Another Fun Sketch Challenge- Stella Says Sketch 120

What a delightful day it has been.  One of the best days I have had in a long time.  I have spent the past six hours listening to children sing.  They sounded like little angels.  Oh how I love the pure innocense of children.

Today, I am using a freebie that Jodi offered a few weeks ago. This is such a fun image and is perfect for a Halloween card.  I am so into making Halloween cards right now.  And, Jodi has so many adorable halloween images to pick from.  You will want to check them out.  I am entering my card in the challenge over at
CATCH THE BUG CHALLENGE BLOG

I have used Stampin Up and DCWV papers.  My ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.  I have used Copics and a digital sentiment.

Boo! Catch The Bug Color Challenge

It is finally Saturday.  It is so nice to have a day off from work.  I always say I am going to sleep in on Saturday morning.  But, it never seems to happen.  I got busy this morning and put together my card for the challenge over at

ColorRipe615

My printed version of the color scheme and the online picture version of the color scheme is slightly different. I didn't realize this until I went to post my card.  Anyway, this is what I came up with.
I love this freebie from a few weeks ago. Isn't he cute!

I have used Stampin Up and DCWV papers.  The ribbon, twine and button  are from JoAnns.  I have used copic markers to color up the image. The scallop oval and oval for the sentiment are punches from Stampin Up.  The sentiment is digital.

What a Cute Little Pumpkin

I found this cute little pumkin on Pinterest yesterday and had to make one up.  They don't take too much time to make.  Probably about one hour.  This one is made with strips of twelve inch paper.
Here is the link for the tutorial.

http://www.twopaperdivas.com/2012/09/fallish-freebie-friday.html

I think it would be fun to make a bigger one.  You would have to piece the twelve inch papers together. But, it would still work.

Catch The Bug Challenge Bingo

Well, here goes another fun challenge over at
Catch The Bug Challenge Blog.
I have been entering my cards for these challenges for the past couple of months.  It sure has been fun and I have really enjoyed joining along.
This week we are to use three items down or three across.

I used Stampin Up and DCWV papers.  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the center panel and have torn the edges.  This would normally been a ribbon used here but, I decided to emboss it and tear the edges.  And, I decided to use the three down on the right for the items I was suppose to use for the challenge.  Tearing, Bugaboo image and Flower.  Hope you enjoy my creation.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 171-103 and Patties Creations

What a beautiful day it has been. We have finally been getting some rain.  It has been raining of and on for the past two weeks.  Everything is turning green. I really love the monsoon season.  The past few years, we haven't had much rain. But, this year we are finally being blessed.
We have a wonderful sponsor this week over at
Sweet Sketch Wednesday
I hope you will stop by and join us.

Pattie's Creations

Here is Pattie Gomez's Bio

I am an Internet Technology Professional and an Artist. I always dreamed of being an artist, but I found out quickly that I needed another field to support my family so I pursued a Degree in Information Technology. I love to use Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Fireworks to enhance my work.

I created a character called Pattieboop and her cat named Allie. I have had so much fun coming up with different images so I also created a site to sell them. You can go to my store to find out more about Pattieboop & Allie. I know you will just love them when you see them.

Pattieboop is an 11 year old girl who is very opinionated. She was created by me, Pattie Gomez on September 7, 2009. Pattieboop is an average 11 year old and she loves dressing up. She is very petite in nature but stands tall because her mother always told her that “If you stand tall you will one day become someone important”. Pattieboop always remembers her mother’s words and makes sure she is noticed.
Pattieboop has a favorite pet named Allie. Allie is a slender black cat and loves playing and spending time with Pattieboop. Allie spends most of her days napping and her nights are spent getting in to mischief

Our Grand Prize Winner will receive:  3 digis from Pattie's shop
