Sweet Sketch Wednesday 144 and Stamp Fairy

Gerda, from Stamp Fairy is our Sponsor this week over at
SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY.

She has the cutest images. At the beginning of the year, Gerda made a calander using her adorable images.  It was the cutest calander ever. I am sure you can find it if you search back though her older posts.  She actually has a template for the calander that you can use to create each of the months.  If you look at her images, you will find that she has an image that fits each of the months of the year.  I want to get all of them so that I can make this adorable calander.

You can check out her shop here.

Music has always been a very important part of my family's life.  Infact, that is one of the things I like about my husbands family.  They would stand around the piano and sing songs together while some of the brothers and sisters would play the violin and trumpet.  I loved the special feeling that this brought into their home. This image reminded me of those special times.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 143 and Doodle Pantry

Last summer I had a tomatoe basket hanging on my back deck.  There was a side of it that had torn open from the wind from the previous year.  It looked pretty bad and I decided I was going to take it down.  I got the ladder and reached up to take it off the hook.  As I lowered it, I looked inside.  There was a with three bird eggs in it.  I couldn't remove it and hung it back up so that my grand kids could see the little birds when they hatched.  It was really fun for them to watch the little birds as they grew and then flew away.  The images I picked this week reminded me of the little birds.
Here are a couple of picture.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 141 and Digi Stamp Boutique

How are you today?  I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day.  One of the gals at work got roses.  I went into her office and told her that "I knew when the guy came though the day with them that they just had to be for me"...LOL  She got a chuckle out of that.  And then, I went to the dentist and the gal there had a huge bouquet of roses....I am glad that Mr Cupid was out in force yesterday especially for my friend at work.  It sure made her day.

We really got an ice storm last night and it was really interesting getting to work this morning.  Most of my co-worker were and an hour and a half late.  I was crossing a bridge when the guy next to me flew by and as he did, he did a 360 and landed in the on coming traffic.  I am so glad I stayed back and drove slow.  He didn't get hurt which was really lucky for him.  There was a car coming but he was able to slow down and miss him........wooo...what a day.  And, It is snowing outside tonight again.

Well, it is time to introduce our sponsor this week over at

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 138 and A Day For Daisies

It is unbelieveable how fast time flies by.  I can hardly believe it is the end of January.
Before you know it, it will be Valentine's day. Wasn't it just Christmas???
We still haven't had much snow were I live.  We were going to get some last night but didn't get more than a skiff of snow and a little rain.
It is Wednesday again and that means it is SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY time.

Sweet Sketch Wednesday is making some changes to the challenge rules effective today.  We are trying to put more of an emphasis on our generous and dedicated sponsors and do more to promote their images.  So with the new sketch released today, please take note of the following:

1.      Create a card using the sketch of the week.  Remember to follow it without changing the orientation or flipping it.  A flower can be any embellishment or a sentiment.  Small dots can be brads, jewels, pearls, flowers or other embellishments.  Remember to follow the main layout and shape of the sketch.  For example:  If the sketch is an oval, it needs to be an oval.  A vertical rectangle needs to be a vertical rectangle.  However, if the layer behind a circle is a zigzag, it can be a scallop, another circle or whatever you want it to be.

2.     Use an image from this week’s sponsor (A Day For Daisies).  Feel free to use one of their freebies, if available.  We appreciate our sponsor’s generosity in offering you a prize for your creativity!

3.     Post this week’s sketch along with your card on your blog with a link back to Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

       4.     If posting to an online gallery, please use Sweet Sketch Wednesday #138

5.     Click into Inlinkz to add your card to this week’s sketch challenge.

6.     Leave a comment for us on this blog You must do this to be considered for the Grand Prize.

In making these few changes to the rules of our weekly challenge, we know that we may see some of our players drop out.  We hope you will reconsider as we feel a need to give greater support to our sponsors for their willingness to provide a prize for our winner.  That winner could be YOU!

We hope you understand and will continue to join our challenges.  We value our participants and our sponsors and appreciate your support of Sweet Sketch Wednesday.

Our Sponsor this week is Tammy from: A DAY FOR DAISIES
