Gumball---"Shape Up"

The challenge at http:///caardvarks.blogspot.com/ is a fun challenge this week. "Shape Up." Any shape goes. Just not squares, rectangles, etc....I had to think about this one. I wanted to do something fun and yet different. I decided to go with a gumball machine. The ideas that everyone has had on this challenge have been really great. It will be fun to view everyones card.

Basket Weave Cake

A few years ago my sister asked me to come to Washington to make her son's and daughter-in-laws wedding cake for their reception. I was really excited about doing this for her. We had such a good time together and the reception was beautiful. Here are pictures of the wedding cakes that I made. I love using the basket weave on cakes. It really give it a nice look. I was really happy with how they turned out. I wanted this to be very special for my sister. Hope you enjoy my blog. From time to time I will be posting some of the cakes that I have made.

I really appreciate the fact that Mojo Monday has joined with the Alzheirmer's Association this week in Stampin Out Alzheimers.
Our mother had Alzheirmer's and it is very hard to see her with this terrible disease. She has passed on and we really miss her. Once again, this card is dedicated to her.

Tender Moments

Tender Moments

My sister posted a card today on her blog in tribute to our Mother who pasted away four years ago. It is very touching. I wanted to do the same thing in honor of her and the selfless life she lived. We loved her dearly and miss her. She was a wonderful mother and was always a good example to her children. We learned so much from her. She is truely missed. Kicking Back

Summer time is upon us and all of my co-workers are talking about going camping......I remember so well the good times when our little family went on camping trips. It was so fun to be out in the wilderness enjoying family and the the great out doors. Grandpa loved to take the kids along the river bank to catch a fish. And to just spend a little one on one time with them. We have a lot of fond memories with these trips.

Welcome Baby

A dear friend of mine is have a baby. She has been at the hospital a couple of times this week threatening to have the baby early. It is way too soon for that and the Dr. has put her on bed rest. We are having a shower for her this weekend and I hope it won't be too much for she. This card is very simple, but is just perfect for the occasion.

Birthday Time

My son had a birthday this past week and our granddaughter wanted to make her dad a card. This is what we made for him. She is only six years old and is loving crafting.

I have been on the computer all day posting these cards. I am on the computer all day at work.....So, to finally get these posted was almost like doing the impossible. I don't have all the fancy devises to take my pictures. Hope they look ok.
