SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY AND SQUIGGLY FLY

Thank you Ashley for sponsoring
SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY this week. We are excited to have SquiggleFly join us as our sponsor. The winner of this challenge will receive a choice of three digi's from Squigglefly. I hope you will join us in the fun here.
I have had so much fun with snowmen images the past few weeks and this is definitely a fun one. I added snowflakes in the background with glitter for added depth.
I used paper from Stampin Up and DCWV Christmes Designer Pack. The snowflakes are from a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch. I used rhinestones and a digital sentiment. Instead of Ribbon, I used Ric Rac. (Something fun for a change.) The digi is from Squigglefly called: "Catching Snow." The ink is from Copic markers: E09, R27, G24, YG03, B32,B39 and black.

THE STAMPMAN- BLOG HOP AND BEST PROJECT OF 2009

I came across this blog when I was checking out some new posts on Teri's blog.
"thestampmanuk.blogspot.com" I had to check it out. And of course, joined in their blog hop. I loved the idea of picking the very best project that we felt like we did this year. Their DT had some beautiful projects and want us to to pick our best of the year. I am not sure about what my best is, but I picked two that I love. Here they are and I hope you enjoy. The first is a card and the second is a shadow box.
It has been a fun year. I am looking forward to making many cards again this next year.
God bless, and Best Wishes for a Wonderful and Happy New Year !!!!

Fondant Christmas Wedding Cake with Cranberry Red and White Flowers

I have been waiting to post this wedding cake so that I could post it in December. I made this cake for my youngest daughters wedding a couple of years ago. The cake is covered in fondant frosting with design work around the edge of each tier. The cake itself is a marble cake. Chocolate and white cake with raspberry filling. I made the the flower arrangements including the Bridal bouquet, cake decor and bridesmaid bouquets. The wedding was in December with a Christmas theme. I was very pleased with how it turned out. I hope you enjoy!

The sketch challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches is a simple one but fun this week. I wasn't sure what I was going to do at first but this is what I finally came up with.

I hope you like my sweet Christmas birds. It is a stamp that I bought a few years ago at Joanns. I used Stampin Up Watercolor crayons, and SU Scallop Round Punch. I also used a Martha Stewart Snowflake punch along with glitter and a Rhinestone. The paper is from The Paper Studio.
