The sketch this week is an interesting one. It was a challenge for me. Lets see what kind of a challenge it is for you!
I just got back in town Sunday morning at 2 am...what a long day flying. It was really hard to come home. I had such a good time. My daughter and I spent the first week making the curtains, bumper pads, blankets, receiving blankets, sheets and pillows for the baby's room. It turned out so cute. I wish now I had thought about taking pictures. We got it all set up and it is adorable, ready for the arrival of their son.
That was our number one goal....next, we spent the two weeks potty training my grand-daughter. That took both my daughters and my full attention 24-7. Wow, what a strong willed little gal. She knows what she wants and it wasn't being potty trained. But, we prevailed!!! Thank heavens for sticker charts and rewards...
Well, here is my card for the week. Hope you enjoy!!

I really like this image. She seems so confident and sure of herself. And, just like the paper in the background, "I can do anything and I follow my heart, I am brave and I am a friend"... What a great motto.
Have a great week everyone!!!

  4. Nancy, what a fun time you had with your daughter - all of that sewing (reminds me of the time I did the same baby stuff sewing for my friend who delivered her daughter a day before my birthday). That was fun! I love that card - those lively purple hues really come out with confidence! The image is wonderful and I love that quote! Glad you made it back home and that you had a great time with your daughter! :-)

  13. Great card Nancy, I love the colours and the image. I apparently had the easiest child in the world to potty train, just seemed to do it himself and never wet the bed once so congratulations on getting your granddaughter through it, I'm sure your daughter was very grateful.
