Fondant Wedding Cake in Periwinkle Colors

This is a wedding Cake I made for one of our daughters. Her colors were periwinkle. The cake are covered with fondant frosting and decorated with white and periwinkle flowers. It is trimmed in silver ribbon on the bottom of each cake and there is design work around each of the cakes. The cakes were white, chocolate and marble. They were beautiful.

I just got home from a wonderful trip visiting my dad and sister. It was a really nice trip but like always, never long enough. My sister, "The Craft Queen" has a wonderful craft room to die for. I wish I had one just like it. I was able to make this card for our Sweet Sketch Wednesday color challenge while I was visiting.

Castle Birthday Cake

This cake was for my granddaughter's birthday. I had a lot of fun making this cake. I am always up for a good challenge. It actually wasn't too bad to make. Wilton give you pretty good instructions on how to put it together. However, I did do a few things different than what they said to do. The cake was really a hit. Everyone loved it. I am sure I will be making it again sometime.

I am posting this sketch for Sweet Sketch Wednesday. My sister has started a new blog and I am really excited about her doing this. She is so talented and has lots of fun ideas to share with everyone. I hope that you will stop by and see it.

Summer Time is a wonderful time, Picnics, swimming, camping and lots of fun family outings. And, of course, lots of good food. I love all the fresh produce. There is nothing like picking fresh strawberries, apples, and tomatoes out of the garden and eating them fresh. It makes me hungry to think about it.

Depth Perception-Caardvark Challenge

I have been anxiously awaiting for the caardvark challenge this week. I am really excited about it. It has really been a fun on to put together. The challenge this week by caardvark is Depth Perception. The prize is amazing. Lots of wonderful goodies from Club Scrap. They offer scrapbooking clubs with amazing ideas and they have a wonderful product line with a new kit each month.

My design is made in a shadow box by Martha Stewart. I love these boxes because there are so many ways you can use them. The flowers are 3-D flowers. It takes a little bit of time to make them but they turn out really fun.
