Sweet Sketch Wednesday 143 and Doodle Pantry

Last summer I had a tomatoe basket hanging on my back deck.  There was a side of it that had torn open from the wind from the previous year.  It looked pretty bad and I decided I was going to take it down.  I got the ladder and reached up to take it off the hook.  As I lowered it, I looked inside.  There was a with three bird eggs in it.  I couldn't remove it and hung it back up so that my grand kids could see the little birds when they hatched.  It was really fun for them to watch the little birds as they grew and then flew away.  The images I picked this week reminded me of the little birds.
Here are a couple of picture.

  2. Love your two cards Nancy, they do remind me of your family of birds!! The wrens love my hanging baskets - I usually try to scare them away, but once a nest is built and the eggs are inside then I leave 'em alone. Mom's VERY protective of her nest too. Your cards are the sweetest, love that you made one pink and one blue.

  3. Hi Nancy I just adore both of your cards they are so so cute and such adorable baby cards. I love your colours and papers. Yes we have daylight savings here in New Zealand as well, I think we put our clocks back one hour Easter weekend. Some states in Australia have DLSavings and some don't. My sister in Melbourne has it, but my sisters in Queensland don't so instead of being 2 hours behind us it is currently 3hour so I can understand what your mean. England also has DLS as well. Yes all the boys come home Friday afternoon this week has gone fast to quickly a couple more days would have been nice. They've had a great time which is most important. Take care and have a wonderful week.

  4. Such cute little baby birds! These are perfect new little baby cards and I love them both! Since my sisters are still in Wisconsin I can never seem to get the time difference right with them either, since we don't change here...really funny that we don't isn't it?

    Peace & Luv,

  7. Hello Nancy, Thanks for sharing the pics of your little birdies from last summer. I forgot that they were in the hanging tomato basket. I can't believe they nested in that. Amazing! It's always so fun to watch the little ones grow and fly away! Your cards are so cute. I love the image you chose this week. It made a darling baby card as you know I am always looking for a cute image for a baby card! I love the fun ribbon and square paper you used. Well, you know we are missing you as we have managed to keep you up two nights in a row now! Maybe you should just get a ticket and fly here!
    Hugs, Judi
