SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY #52 and DIGI DOODLE SHOP

Welcome to our challenge for Sweet Sketch Wednesday!! We have another fun sketch for you this week. Please Hop on over to SWEET SKETCH WEDNESDAY to join in the fun!

The Digi Doodle Shop is our sponsor. They are offering three (3) digi's to the winner of the challenge this week. They are a new digi shop and have been in business for two months. They have a collection of 250 darling images to choose from.

The image I have used is called: "Soda Shop"

This image brings me back to the 60's. Just a little stroll down memory lane. I remember so well going to the soda shop with my friends sometimes after school.

Supplies:
Copic markers: E00, E02, YR00, E37, Y08, E33, E13, C1, Booo, B32.
Paper: Stampin Up and scraps from my stash.
Hand Made flower, ribbon and brad.

My grand children love to come over and color images with me on a regular basis. Last night while they were here, my granddaughter saw my card and wanted to color up the image too! Below is her picture. When they come over, they don't want to do anything else but color images. They have their own markers and once in awhile I give in and let Samantha use my Copic's. She is very careful with them. I really get a big kick out of the fact that this is what they want to do when they are at my house. They both love to color and draw. They would rather do something "crafty" then anything else. Sam will sit at the desk in the office and Logan will sit on the counter in the kitchen and they will color and draw for hours. I am talking about a 7 year old girl and a three year old boy.....I just couldn't resist posting this along with my card. She is only seven... Sam added glitter to the dress and shoes and a bow for the girls hair.

Thanks for visiting my blog. I hope you have an enjoyable week! Thanks for your comments!

  1. Nancy, how lovely is that card with those yummy papers. I love that little flower too. Your images are perfectly colored, as always. I see why your grandchildren want to sit and color with you all day. I was the same way when I was a kid - all I wanted to do was color. Samantha did a beautiful job with her picture; great coloring - she's going to be just like Grandma - what fond memories the kids will have! I hope you are having a wonderful week! :-)

  2. WOW Nancy love your card but my mouth dropped at your granddaughters image. WOW!!! She's only 7!!! WOW some more. My three old doesn't have the patience to sit still long enough but he does like my cuttlebug and will roll away on that for hours.

  4. Wow, Samantha definitely has your genes! She did a fabulous job coloring that image! Look at that shading! Now back to your card! It made me think of the soda shop across from the junior high...and the one three blocks up the street.....didn't we love going there! Your papers couldn't be more perfect. Love the sweet colors you chose.

  9. Hi Nancy,

I've been behind on getting around to see all the SSW creations due to some store techi issues, so I hope you'll forgive me. I'm really having a fun time admiring all the creations with DDS stamps, and the stories that go with the creations. Your card is absolutely adorable, ad is your grand daughter's. You can let her know that I'll be placing her image (along with yours) in my store gallery for all to see who visit. It is obvious that she gets her talents from you, and I'm sure you are very proud. It's a pleasure sponsoring SSW, and thank you for the great work.

  10. Beautiful card, I love this image too, we have an old "soda shop" in a small town near by, my friend and I love meeting there when we can, they have kept it as original as possible, you would love it! You will have to let me know if you ever make it to MO!.....I do believe you have a budding artist in your granddaughter! She needs to start her own blog!
